According to the University of Pennsylvania, lemon balmes have the potential to help prevent and treat dehydration.
Researchers at the University at Buffalo conducted an analysis of the effect of lemon balmiems on the skin.
The study found that the balm was able to improve hydration and help restore the skin’s hydration levels.
Researchers found that a 10-day supplementation of 10 ml of lemon juice (50 grams) was able the hydrate the skin, preventing the formation of water droplets.
This resulted in the skin appearing more hydrated, according to the study.
The study also found that when the skin was moisturized with a gel containing the balmy mixture, the amount of water in the serum increased by 3%.
The study did not reveal how long the effect lasted, but a 10ml gel with 1.5 ml of a lemon balmed skin could help restore water levels.
A 10ml bottle of a gel made from citrus fruit extract with 0.8 ml of lemons hydrate a skin’s surface, which helps reduce water loss and restore skin tone.
Researchers said that a gel of lemongrass extract could be useful for people with oily skin who are unable to use a moisturizer or other topical treatments.
The research, titled ‘Effect of Lemon Balm on Skin Hydration’, was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
